COMPANY HISTORY
DN Supply Company was
founded at 62nd and Media streets in the mid 1940's
by Louis DiNuzio. He was later joined by a partner, Michael Miele. After the war ended,
Mr Miele invited his brother-in-law Anthony (Lee) Teti to become a partner. The
firm
prospered for many years, opening branches in North East Philadelphia and
Camden,
New Jersey. In 1947 the company incorporated as DN Supply Company Inc (in
Philadelphia) and DN Supply Company of New Jersey. In 1972, DN Supply of
New Jersey acquired a property in Haddon Heights, NJ, and proceeded to move the
Camden operation to this location. On November 1,1978, DN Supply Company Inc and
DN Supply Company
of New Jersey merged to form DN Supply Corporation. The New Jersey division
was sold in 1980. On January 2, 1982, the Philadelphia division was destroyed in
a
massive fire. On January 10, 1982, the company purchased the Assets of Plumbers
Supply Company in Haverford, PA. The company completed the terms of that lease
and in April of 1982 it was then relocated to its present address at 80 E.
Baltimore
Ave in Lansdowne.
Louis DiNunzio passed away in 1972, leaving control of the
company to
Michael Miele and Lee Teti. Mr Miele passed away in 1978, leaving the company
to his wife Palma Miele, who with her brother, Lee Teti controlled the company
untill their retirement. They were succeeded by William T. Teti (Lee's son) and
Francis G. Ronayne (Mr Miele's son-in-law) who are the present owners.
